Miller Wachman was formed in 1969 when the founding partners, all of whom were members of the George Miller or the Abraham Wachman firms, decided to practice public accounting together when both Miller and Wachman died in 1969. Miller and Wachman's separate practices dated back to the 1930s.
INTRODUCTION TO THE PARTNERS
Mark J. Conklin, CPA Co-managing partner at Miller Wachman LLP, received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University. Mark has worked in public accounting since 1979 and is the firm’s primary audit partner for our not-for-profit clients. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has been a board member and officer of a community organization. He has over 30 years of experience in auditing and income tax planning and preparation for both business and individual clients. Mark has also been a volunteer member of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay Multi-year Audit Task Force.
Stephen Gunzburger, CPA, MBS, MST Co-managing partner at Miller Wachman LLP. He received his Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Science in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, and a Masters of Science in Taxation from Bentley College. He is designated as an ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He specializes in complex accounting and auditing issues. Steve is closely involved with his clients, who cover a wide range of industries including manufacturing, finance, real estate, retail and clients subject to PCAOB oversight (listed companies). Steve began his audit career as a Federal bank examiner.
Robert C. Helman, CPA , PFS, CGMA a partner at Miller Wachman LLP is the third generation in his family to practice in public accounting. His education includes a BA degree from Boston University followed by an MET degree in business and accounting.
Bob specializes in closely held family business, real estate partnerships, trust taxation and personal financial and estate planning. He has earned specialty certifications as a Personal Financial Specialist and Certified Global Management Accountant from the AICPA.
He has been a CPA for over 40 years as he enjoys helping clients achieve their financial and personal goals.
Over the years, Bob has been involved with many civic and philanthropic organizations.
