Our privacy policy pertains to non-public, personal information about current and former clients as follows: We do not sell information to third parties. We do not disclose non-public information except as necessary to provide our services and as required by law.

In order to provide our services and to comply with strict professional guidelines, we retain records relating to the services we provide. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards in place to protect these records. We continually evaluate new technology for protecting information.

Employee access is limited, and employees are subject to a strict employment policy regarding confidentiality.

HISTORY

Miller Wachman was formed in 1969 when the founding partners, all of whom were members of the George Miller or the Abraham Wachman firms, decided to practice public accounting together when both Miller and Wachman died in 1969. Miller and Wachman's separate practices dated back to the 1930s.

INTRODUCTION TO THE PARTNERS

ROBERT C. HELMAN, CPA is the third generation in his family to practice in public accounting. He specializes in closely held family businesses, trust taxation, personal financial planning and estate planning. His background includes a BA from Boston University in biochemistry, yet he followed the family tradition with an MET degree in business and accounting from Boston University and his CPA certification over 30 years ago. He finds satisfaction helping people reach their goals.

RAYMOND T. LARIVIERE CPA has been in public accounting since 1971, and with Miller Wachman since 1975. He received his BA degree from the College of the Holy Cross and his MBA from Rutgers University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He deals primarily with closely held family businesses including personal service corporations, contractors, physician's groups, retail and securities broker/dealers. He is a member of the Greater Worcester Area Committee of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs, and manages the firm's Worcester office.

JOHN PAPPAS CPA joined the professional staff of Miller Wachman in 1973 and was admitted as a partner in 1986. A graduate of Bentley College in 1975 with a BS in accounting, he specializes in auditing, trust accounting and taxation, and counseling owners of smaller businesses. His clients include architects, real estate developers and manufacturers. He feels that knowing clients and understanding their needs is the cornerstone of our success.

ALAN S. ZELBOW CPA has been in public accounting for over 30 years. He earned his BS in business administration from Northeastern University and specializes in accounting, auditing and business planning. Alan is active in professional organizations and has chaired technical committees. He frequently acts as a consultant to accounting firms on technical and business issues. Alan is the firm's representative to HLB International.

STEPHEN GUNZBURGER CPA holds a Master's degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts and a Master's degree in taxation from Bentley College. He is designated as an ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Steve heads up the litigation support area of the firm. He specializes in complex accounting and auditing issues. Steve is closely involved with his clients who cover a wide range of industries including manufacturing, finance, publication and retail.

MARK J. CONKLIN CPA has been in public accounting since 1979. He graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Mark works closely with small businesses and not-for-profit organizations. He is the firm's primary audit partner for not-for-profit clients.
